Once International students completes a post-secondary education in an eligible program in Canada, they are eligible to apply for a Post Graduate Work Permit. PGWP is an Open Work Permit allowing foreign national to work in any job, without restrictions to gain valuable Canadian work experience.

Skilled Canadian work experience in National Occupational Classification (NOC) skill type 0 A B that is gained through the PGWPP helps graduates qualify for permanent residence in Canada through the Canadian experience class within Express Entry.

Eligibility Requirements For PGWP Applicants

• Completed and passed the program of study and received a notification that you are eligible to obtain your degree, diploma, or certificate
• Apply for a work permit within 90 days of receiving written confirmation (for example, a transcript or an official letter) from your institution indicating that you have met the requirements for completing your academic program.
• Should have a valid study permit when you apply for the work permit
• Prove that you will leave Canada when WP expires
• Have enough money to take care of yourself and your family members
• Obey the law and have no record of criminal activity
• Not be a danger to Canada’s security.
