NEW PARENTS AND GRANDPARENTS SPONSORSHIP 2023
NEW PARENTS AND GRANDPARENTS SPONSORSHIP 2023
Today, we have some exciting news for all you Canadians who have been eagerly waiting for the Parents and Grandparents Sponsorship Program for 2023. Let’s dive right into it!
“Parents and Grandparents Sponsorship in 2023 will accept Up to 15,000 Applications”
The wait is finally over! In October 2023, the Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) will begin accepting a total of 15,000 complete applications for the Parents and Grandparents Sponsorship Program. But that’s not all!
Starting on the 10th of October 2023, the IRCC will send out invitations to apply to a whopping 24,200 prospective sponsors. The goal is to receive up to 15,000 complete applications from these sponsors. These invitations will be sent out over a two-week period, beginning on October 10th, 2023.
Here’s an interesting twist:
Instead of opening a new interest to sponsor form, the IRCC will be sending invitations to apply to randomly selected potential sponsors from the remaining 2020 pool of submissions. Yes, you heard it right! This strategy has been successfully utilized for the 2021 and 2022 intakes. So, if you have submitted an interest to sponsor form back in 2020 but didn’t receive an invitation to apply in 2021 or 2022, it’s time to check the email account you provided in 2020. You might just be in for a pleasant surprise!
let’s talk about how to submit your application for the 2023 intake. Those who are invited to apply will need to submit their applications electronically via the Permanent Residence Portal or the Representative Permanent Residence Portal.
LET’S DICUSS GENERAL ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:
There are some general eligibility criteria you need to meet if you want to sponsor your parents and grandparents for Canadian Permanent Residency (PR). Here they are:
Firstly, you must be at least 18 years old, and you should fall into one of the following categories:
2. A permanent resident of Canada
3. A person registered in Canada as per the Canadian Indian Act
Secondly, and importantly, you need to demonstrate that you have enough financial resources to support the family you want to sponsor. You must provide valid proof of income for the last three years, meeting the financial requirements set by the IRCC.
So, mark your calendars for October 10th, 2023, as that’s when the invitations to apply will start rolling out. If you meet the eligibility criteria and have been waiting to reunite with your parents and grandparents, this is your chance!
